On July 1, 2017, about 1445 universal coordinated time (UTC), a Cessna 182F airplane, Honduras registration HR-AXI, was involved in an accident near Aeródromo de la Isla de Utila, Honduras. The pilot was the only occupant and his injuries are unknown.
The Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil (DGAC) of Honduras is investigating the incident. As the State of manufacture and design of the airplane and engine, the NTSB has appointed a US Accredited Representative under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 to assist the DGAC in its investigation.
