Summary

On January 25, 2018, a Boeing 737 (OB-2140P) was involved in an incident near Lima, PE. All 99 people aboard were uninjured.

On January 25, 2018, a Peruvian Air Lines Boeing 737-530, registered in Peru as OB-2140P, had an uncommanded shutdown of the No. 2 engine, a CFMI CFM56-3B1, after leveling off at FL370. The flight crew declared an emergency and diverted back to Lima, Peru. The flight crew made two unsuccessful attempts to restart the engine and the engine restarted on the third attempt. The airplane landed with both engines operating. The airplane was operating on a flight from Lima to Cuzco, Peru. There were no injuries to the 2 pilots, 3 flight attendants, and 94 passengers on board.
