On June 22, 2019, at 0900 local time, a Robinson R22 helicopter, VH-HHQ, collided with terrain near Kutchera Station, Australia. The pilot was fatally injured and the helicopter was substantially damaged. The flight was conducted under the pertinent civil regulations of the government of Australia.
During aerial mustering operations, the right anti-torque pedal broke. The pilot was unable to regain control and the helicopter collided with terrain resulting in substantial damage.
