The Antonov An-22 Antheus, the world's largest turboprop aircraft, revolutionized heavy-lift transport for the Soviet military and established multiple world records for payload capacity. First flown on February 27, 1965, it was a high-wing four-engine turboprop that could carry 80,000 kilograms of cargo or 28 passengers. Measuring nearly 58 meters in length with a 64.4-meter wingspan, it was manufactured by the Antonov Design Bureau.
