The Beech 95 Travel Air was a pioneering light twin-engine aircraft that filled a crucial gap in the general aviation market between single-engine personal aircraft and larger corporate twins. First flown in January 1953, it was a low-wing twin-engine design powered by two 180-horsepower Lycoming engines and could seat four to six passengers. Spanning a production run from 1958 to 1968, the Travel Air measured over 25 feet in length and achieved speeds up to 210 mph. The aircraft was manufactured by Beech Aircraft Corporation as their entry into the competitive light twin market.
