The Van's RV-7 is a high-performance experimental aircraft that revolutionized amateur aviation by offering exceptional speed and handling in a homebuilt package. First flown in 2001, it is a low-wing, all-aluminum monoplane with side-by-side seating for two and accommodates engines up to 215 horsepower. With a wingspan of approximately 28 feet and cruise speeds exceeding 200 mph, the RV-7 delivers airliner-like performance from a kit that can be assembled in about 1,500 hours. The aircraft is manufactured by Van's Aircraft of Aurora, Oregon.
