The Bell 206LT TwinRanger was an experimental twin-engine utility helicopter that pioneered redundancy in the light helicopter market during the mid-1990s. First flown in early 1994, it was a twin-turboshaft adaptation of the proven LongRanger design that could carry one or two pilots plus six passengers in its stretched fuselage configuration. Measuring approximately 14 meters in length with an 11.28-meter rotor diameter, the aircraft achieved a maximum speed of 240 kilometers per hour. Bell Helicopter produced this innovative rotorcraft at their Mirabel, Quebec facility.
