The Cessna T182 Turbo Skylane was a high-altitude turbocharged variant of the popular 182 Skylane that brought turbocharged performance to general aviation pilots. First flown as a prototype in 1980, it featured a fixed-wing, single-engine configuration seating four occupants with a turbocharged Lycoming O-540 engine producing 235 horsepower. With a service ceiling exceeding 20,000 feet and a 36-foot wingspan, the T182 was manufactured by Cessna Aircraft Company from 1981 to 1986, then revived as the T182T from 2001 to 2013.
