The Hawker Siddeley HS-125-1, Britain's most successful business jet and longest-produced commercial aircraft, revolutionized corporate aviation with its ability to operate from small airfields. First flown in 1962, it was a low-wing twin-engine turbojet that could accommodate 8-12 passengers in executive configuration. Powered by Bristol Siddeley Viper 520 turbojets, the aircraft measured over 47 feet in length with a 47-foot wingspan and established a production run that would span five decades. Manufactured by Hawker Siddeley at their Broughton facility near Chester.
