The Boeing MQ-25 Stingray represents the world's first carrier-based unmanned aerial refueling aircraft, marking a revolutionary shift in naval aviation by extending the range of manned strike fighters through autonomous fuel delivery. First flown on September 19, 2019, it features a blended wing-body design optimized for aircraft carrier operations with a capacity to deliver 15,000 pounds of fuel to multiple aircraft at ranges up to 500 nautical miles. Measuring over 51 feet in length with a wingspan exceeding 75 feet, the MQ-25 was developed by Boeing's Phantom Works division under an $805 million U.S. Navy contract.
