The Lockheed L-12 Electra Junior was an advanced twin-engine executive transport that pioneered luxury air travel for small groups in the late 1930s. First flown on June 27, 1936, it was a low-wing monoplane powered by two radial engines that could carry 6 passengers and 2 crew members at speeds up to 225 mph. Measuring approximately 37 feet in length with a 49-foot wingspan, it was manufactured by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation and became known as the "Lear Jet of the 1930s" for its combination of speed and luxury.
