The Embraer EMB-121 Xingu stands as Brazil's first pressurized aircraft and a pioneering achievement in South American aviation manufacturing. First flown on October 10, 1976, it was a twin-turboprop executive transport featuring a distinctive T-tail configuration, pressurized cabin, and capacity for 6-9 passengers. With a wingspan of 14.83 meters and service ceiling of 28,000 feet, the aircraft demonstrated Embraer's growing capabilities in sophisticated aircraft design. Manufactured by Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica from 1977 to 1987, exactly 106 Xingus were built.
