The JODEL D-140 Mousquetaire, the first four-seat aircraft in the Jodel family, served as a versatile touring and training monoplane that bridged civilian and military aviation needs in post-war France. First flown on July 4, 1958, it was a high-wing single-engine aircraft seating five occupants with a 180-horsepower Lycoming O-360 engine. With a maximum range of 1,200 kilometers and robust construction suitable for unprepared airfields, the D-140 was manufactured by Société Aéronautique Normande and later Avions Pierre Robin from 1958 to 1970.
