The SOCATA TB-30 Epsilon was France's primary military trainer aircraft designed to bridge the gap between basic flight training and jet operations. First flown on December 22, 1979, it was a low-wing single-engine monoplane with tandem seating for two pilots. Measuring 7.6 meters in length with a 7.9-meter wingspan, the aircraft was powered by a 300-horsepower Lycoming piston engine and manufactured by SOCATA, the light aviation division of Aérospatiale.
