The Grob G-115 A was the first FAA-certificated all-composite aerobatic trainer, pioneering the use of glass fiber reinforced plastics in production aircraft. First flown in November 1985, it was a low-wing single-engine monoplane that seated two pilots side-by-side with full aerobatic capability. Spanning 10 meters with a length of 7.54 meters, the aircraft achieved a maximum cruise speed of 135 knots and featured a distinctive broad canopy for exceptional visibility. Manufactured by Grob Aircraft of Germany, approximately 110 G-115 and G-115A variants were produced by late 1992.
