The AgustaWestland AW169, a twin-engine intermediate utility helicopter that marked the first new-generation aircraft in its category launched in decades, first flew on May 10, 2012. This 4.5-ton rotorcraft features twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210A turboshaft engines producing 1,000 shaft horsepower each, accommodates up to 10 passengers, and incorporates advanced systems including electronically actuated landing gear and variable-speed rotors. With a main rotor diameter of 39 feet 9 inches and maximum speed of 190 mph, the AW169 was manufactured by AgustaWestland, now part of Leonardo.
