The Eurofighter Typhoon stands as Europe's premier fourth-generation multirole fighter aircraft, representing the largest collaborative defense project in European history. First flown in 1994, it is a twin-engine canard delta-wing fighter designed for air superiority and ground attack missions. Measuring over 52 feet in length with a 36-foot wingspan, the aircraft is powered by two Rolls-Royce EJ200 afterburning turbofan engines. The Typhoon is manufactured by a consortium of BAE Systems, Airbus Defence and Space, and Leonardo.
