The JMB Aircraft VL-3 Evolution is a high-performance two-seat ultralight aircraft that holds the distinction of being marketed as the world's fastest side-by-side ultralight. First flown in the mid-1990s, it is a low-wing monoplane powered by various Rotax engines ranging from 100 to 141 horsepower. With a maximum cruise speed of 270 km/h (168 mph) and retractable tricycle landing gear, the VL-3 Evolution is manufactured by JMB Aircraft of the Czech Republic.
