GM Helicopters Fleet

The Guimbal G-2 Cabri, Europe's first genuinely indigenous piston helicopter, revolutionized light helicopter safety by becoming the first piston-powered rotorcraft designed from inception to meet stringent EASA CS-27 and FAR-27 crash-worthiness standards. First flown on April 11, 1992, it is a two-seat light helicopter powered by a derated 145-horsepower Lycoming O-360-J2A piston engine. The aircraft spans 21.3 feet in rotor diameter and has accumulated over 260,000 flight hours across its global fleet. Manufactured by Hélicoptères Guimbal of France since 2008.
