The Pacific Aerospace P-750 XSTOL is the world's first production aircraft specifically designed for extremely short takeoff and landing operations, serving diverse utility roles from skydiving to agricultural spraying. First flown in 2001, it is a single-engine turboprop monoplane powered by a 750-horsepower Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-34 engine and configured to carry up to 10 passengers or equivalent cargo. The aircraft requires only 720 feet for takeoff and 545 feet for landing, enabling operations from semi-prepared airstrips where conventional aircraft cannot operate. Built by Pacific Aerospace Limited in Hamilton, New Zealand, it achieved FAA certification in March 2004.
