The Airbus Helicopters H175 (formerly EC-175) is a super-medium utility helicopter that marked the first successful joint venture between European and Chinese helicopter manufacturers. First flown on December 17, 2009, it is a twin-turboshaft helicopter capable of carrying 16 passengers with modern FADEC-equipped engines. The H175 spans the 7-ton class with twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6C-67E engines producing 1,775 shaft horsepower each. It was developed through a 50/50 partnership between Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) and China's Harbin Aviation Industry Group.
