The Piper PA-23-150 Apache was America's first truly affordable twin-engine light aircraft, revolutionizing business aviation by making twin-engine reliability accessible to private operators. First flown on March 2, 1952, it was a low-wing twin-engine monoplane powered by two 150-horsepower Lycoming engines that could seat four to six occupants. With a wingspan of 37 feet 4 inches and a maximum speed of approximately 185 miles per hour, it was manufactured by Piper Aircraft Corporation from 1954 to 1965.
