
The Tupolev Tu-154, the Soviet Union's most successful medium-range airliner, transported millions of passengers across Eastern Europe and Central Asia for over four decades. First flown on October 4, 1968, it was a low-wing trijet monoplane that could seat 114 to 180 passengers depending on configuration. Spanning 37.5 meters with a length of 48 meters, it was manufactured by the Tupolev Design Bureau.
