The Beechcraft T-6 Texan II is a modern turboprop trainer that revolutionized military pilot training for both the U.S. Air Force and Navy. First flown in 1998, it is a low-wing single-engine aircraft with tandem seating for two pilots and ejection seat capability. Measuring 33.4 feet in length with a 33.5-foot wingspan, the T-6 is powered by a 1,100-horsepower Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-68 turboprop engine. Originally manufactured by Raytheon Aircraft Company, now part of Textron Aviation.
