
The Tecnam P-2002 Sierra is a modern light sport aircraft that became one of Europe's most successful trainer designs of the early 21st century. First flown in 2002, it is a low-wing, single-engine monoplane powered by a Rotax 912 engine that seats two occupants. With a wingspan of 24 feet and cruising speed of 138 mph, the Sierra was manufactured by Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam S.p.A. of Italy.
