The Sukhoi Superjet 100-95, Russia's first post-Soviet regional airliner, represented the country's ambitious return to commercial aviation manufacturing. First flown on May 19, 2008, it is a twin-engine, low-wing jet capable of carrying 95-100 passengers in a single-class configuration. With a length of 98 feet 3 inches and wingspan of 91 feet 2 inches, the aircraft achieved a maximum range of 2,480 nautical miles. Developed by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, now under the Yakovlev division of United Aircraft Corporation.
