The Airbus Helicopters-Kawasaki EC-145, one of the world's most successful light twin-engine helicopters, revolutionized multi-mission operations through its exceptional versatility and reliability. First flown on June 12, 1999, it was a twin-engine turboshaft helicopter that could carry up to 10 passengers or serve specialized roles from emergency medical services to military utility missions. With a maximum speed of 240 kilometers per hour and powered by twin Safran Arriel 2D engines, more than 1,500 units have been produced by the joint venture between Airbus Helicopters and Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
