The Cessna 195, Cessna's only postwar radial-engine aircraft, established new standards for business aviation in the late 1940s. First flown on July 15, 1947, it was a high-wing monoplane powered by a 300-horsepower Jacobs radial engine with five-seat capacity. With its distinctive all-aluminum construction and strutless wing design, the 195 offered performance superior to contemporary light aircraft. Cessna Aircraft Company manufactured 1,180 total aircraft in the 190/195 series from 1947 to 1954.
