
The Cessna 525A Citation CJ2 represented a significant evolution in light business jet design, establishing new standards for single-pilot operation and cabin space in its category. First delivered in November 2000 following FAA certification in April of that year, this twin-turbofan light jet featured an extended fuselage accommodating 6-9 passengers in a 248 cubic foot cabin. Measuring 46.9 feet in length with a 49.6-foot wingspan, the CJ2 achieved cruise speeds of 410 knots and ranges exceeding 1,500 nautical miles. Cessna Aircraft Company manufactured 243 examples through 2006 at their Wichita, Kansas facilities.
