The Beech F90 King Air, the high-performance hot rod of the King Air 90 series, represented the pinnacle of pressurized turboprop design in the late 1970s corporate aviation market. First flown on January 16, 1978, it was a low-wing twin-turboprop aircraft that could seat 6-8 passengers with full pressurization capabilities. Powered by 750-horsepower Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-135 engines and featuring the distinctive T-tail configuration borrowed from the Super King Air 200, the F90 achieved cruise speeds exceeding 270 mph. Manufactured by Beech Aircraft Corporation in Wichita, Kansas, only 236 examples were built before production ended in 1983.
