The Antonov An-74 TK-100 is a Soviet-Ukrainian twin-engine transport aircraft specifically engineered for cargo and personnel operations in extreme Arctic conditions. First flown as the An-74 prototype on September 29, 1983, it is a high-wing STOL aircraft powered by two turbofan engines capable of carrying 10 tonnes of cargo or up to 52 passengers. With its distinctive over-wing engine placement and maximum speed of 700 km/h, the aircraft was manufactured by the Kharkiv State Aircraft Production Plant in Ukraine.
