Wiggins Airways Fleet

The Beech 99 Airliner was the first turboprop aircraft to receive FAA certification for scheduled commuter airline service, pioneering regional aviation in North America. First flown in July 1966, it was a low-wing twin-turboprop design accommodating 15 to 17 passengers with retractable landing gear. Measuring over 44 feet in length, the aircraft achieved cruise speeds of 285 knots and featured two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engines producing up to 715 horsepower each. Manufactured by Beech Aircraft Corporation in Wichita, Kansas, from 1968 to 1987.
