The EMB-110 Bandeirante, Brazil's first commercially successful aircraft, launched the nation into the global aerospace industry. First flown in 1968, it was a twin-turboprop, low-wing monoplane that could seat 12 to 22 passengers and served both civilian and military roles. Measuring 50.3 feet in length with a 49.5-foot wingspan, the aircraft achieved a cruising speed of 345 mph and operated from short airstrips throughout remote regions. Manufactured by EMBRAER, the newly formed Brazilian aerospace company.
