The 328JET was a small regional jet that represented Fairchild Dornier's ambitious entry into the turbofan-powered commuter market during the late 1990s jet revolution. First flown in 1998, it was a low-wing twin-engine aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306B turbofans that could seat up to 32 passengers in commercial configuration or 15 in executive layout. With a maximum speed of 750 kilometers per hour and range of 2,740 kilometers, the aircraft was manufactured by Fairchild Dornier in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany.
