Analysis

On June 14, 2001, at 1720 central daylight time, a Piper PA-28R-180, N3718T, piloted by a private pilot, sustained substantial damage during a gear up landing on runway 24 at the Austin Straubel International Airport, Green Bay, Wisconsin. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The flight was operating under the provisions of 14 CFR Part 91. The pilot and two passengers reported no injuries. The flight originated from the Fond Du Lac County Airport, Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin at 1650.

In a written report, the pilot said that he, "...didn't extend the gear." The pilot listed no mechanical malfunction in the report.
