On August 26, 2009, about 1152 UTC, a Cessna 208B, Venezuelan registration YV1182, registered to and operated by Linea Turista Aerotuy (LTA), as a scheduled domestic passenger flight, had a total loss of engine power. The airline transport (ATP) rated pilot ditched the airplane into the Caribbean Sea adjacent to Tortuga Island, Venezuela. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and a visual flight rules flight plan was filed. The ATP pilot and 11 passengers reported no injuries. The co-pilot and 1 passenger reported minor injuries. The flight originated from Los Roques, Venezuela at 1114.
