Analysis
On July 17, 2016, about 1951 Coordinated Universal Time, a Canadian registered North American Aviation T-28B airplane, C-GKKD, owned and operated by a private individual, impacted terrain near Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada, while performing aerobatic maneuvers during an airshow at Cold Lake/Group Captain R.W. McNair Airport about 7 nm south west of Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada. The airplane was destroyed, and the sole pilot was fatally injured.
