On May 12, 2017, about 0635 coordinated universal time, a Lancair IV P airplane, Swiss registration SE-XRU, was substantially damaged when it impacted terrain near Grenaa, Denmark. The airplane was registered to and operated by a private individual as a non-commercial cross country flight. The pilot and one passenger were not injured. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The flight originated from Aarhus Airport (EKAH), Tirstrup, Denmark.
