On August 22, 2019, at an 1120 UTC, a Cessna 150, D-EHLG, impacted with terrain in cornfield in Steinfeld, Germany. The pilot, the sole occupant, suffered fatal injuries and the airplane was destroyed. The flight had departed Flugplatz Diepholz-Dümmerland on a local flight.
This investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU). Under the provisions of Annex 13 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation as a State of Design, the United States has designated an accredited representative to participate in the investigation.
