On October 11, 2019, about 1147 coordinated universal time, a Bell Helicopter 412EP, SU-CBX, impacted the sea about 65 miles north of Port Said City, Egypt after losing control in flight. There were no injuries to the two pilots and three passengers, and the helicopter sustained substantial damage. The helicopter was operated under the pertinent civil regulations of the government of Egypt.
The Egyptian Aircraft Accident Investigation Directorate is investigating the accident. As the state of manufacturer of the helicopter, the NTSB has designated a US accredited representative to assist in their investigation.
